what has been stopping me from starting this blog? i have no idea! i thought moving to germany would be a good reason to start. then i thought mayer's birthday and christmas would be a good time to start - that came and went. then i thought "it's the new year, an excellent time to start the family blog". well...it's almost march, we have a trip to rome under our belts and grayson's first birthday coming up. so...here goes nothing.
i was planning on doing a year in review to catch everyone up, but i think by this point everyone knows we didn't move to charlottesville, we are in stuttgart, germany. we arrived here the beginning of august. troy was promoted to major, literally the day after we got here. mayer turned 5 this year and had batman bowling party to mark the big day. grayson will be 1 tomorrow and there is a wild party planned for sunday (more on that later). we have been spending most of free time exploring germany and as i mentioned earlier, we finally took our first big european vacation and spent 4 fantastic days in rome.
i believe you have now been sufficiently caught up. i'm sure i'm leaving something out....this post is pre-coffee so it may be updated later. i plan on doing a post on mayer and one on grayson to catch you all up in more detail in the next few days, but i need to get some coffee asap. until the next post, here is the most recent picture of the monkeys.
